At lunchtimes (between 13:00 and 14:00), If you call between these times you will be directly diverted to a call answering service called Kernow Message Handling. They will arrange contact with the duty GP to provide a clinical assessment in case of urgent need.
Between 08:00am and 08:30am and 18:00pm and 18:30pm Monday to Friday you will be diverted to the Kernow Message Handling Service. Your details will be taken and they will arrange contact with the duty GP to provide a clinical assessment if the need is urgent. At weekends and Bank Holidays if you have an urgent medical problem which cannot wait until the surgery opens you will be asked to ring 111. If you have a life threatening illness then you will be asked to ring 999.
When you ring NHS 111 your details will be taken and you will be offered an appointment at a local Primary Care Centre or you will be asked to speak to the medical staff in the Triage Centre who will either give advice or arrange a home visit if it is considered appropriate.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
The surgery opening hours are 08:30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday (except for Bank Holidays). If you need urgent treatment outside of these times then please:
Call 111 if you need urgent medical assistance
Call 999 in an emergency (chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency)
Call 0845 002 0034/01392 822 348 if you have an urgent Dental Problem.
