Research news

We were delighted to win a research award recently at the first ever research awards at Treliske Hospital! We were the winners of the award for ‘Working Together – Effective Collaboration Working on NHS Research in Cornwall’.

This award celebrates our ‘whole team approach’ to research and we would like to thank the staff for ‘getting on board’ with research and for their commitment.

Rame Group Practice were also named the highest recruiter to research studies in Cornwall for 2016/17, a testament to how hard we have been working to ensure that patients have the opportunity to take part in clinical research.

Dr Paul McEleny also works for the NIHR Clinical Research Network in the role of Clinical Research Lead for the South West Peninsula. He is responsible for helping to promote and facilitate clinical research in the areas of Primary Care, Dentistry, Musculoskeletal, Health Science research, Public Health, Dermatology and Diabetes.
