Surgery Update September 2020

How you access the Practice has changed.

This is because we are following the up to date guidance from the Department of Health to all GP Practices in the UK stating that all appointments should be remote, unless there is a “compelling clinical reason” for a face to face appointment.

We know these changes can be confusing and even frustrating at times.

We want to say a big thank you for your patience and flexibility.

Everyone at the Rame Group Practice wants to assure you that:

1. You will be seen Face to Face if the clinican feels there is a medical need to do so. This will be discussed with you at the initial remote consultation.

2. The Patient Advisers will guide you through the process so you can access the right person, in the right way. Let them help you to the best service for you.

3. We will keep the waiting room safe by screening patients remotely before inviting them in. This will keep the waiting room quieter to aid social distancing.

4. E-Consultation, telephone and video consultations let us be efficient, ensuring we can meet the demands of COVID-19, your routine medical care and any emergency cases.

We believe this is the best way to provide all the medical needs of our community.

Thank you again,

Drs Lawrence Barnes, Mark Bridle, Rob Allen, Susie Keast and Laura Walters
